Since 2011 Maria and Alexander Koppitsch have been making natural wine in Burgenland having taken over Alex's father's vineyards. Practicing biodynamics in the vineyards and working with minimal intervention in the winery - there's no temperature control, fining, filtration or sulphur.
Made from 40% Grüner Veltliner, 40% Weissburgunder, 20% Sauvignon Blanc this is made in their backyard without additives or temperature control, bottled unfined and unfiltered. As a result this screams tropical freshness, pouring a hazy tangerine with aromas of passion fruit, pineapple and grapefruit jumping straight out the bottle. With a nutty undertone, a slightly viscous creaminess, a citric sting and a touch of effervescence this beautifully textured wine is bound not to last long enough...
