Going down a treat each and every time they've graced the shelves and fridges of CC, we're overjoyed to have Burnt Mill back, and in a big way!

Founded on a barn in the idyllic Suffolk countryside in 2017, they've become renowned for their impeccably balanced, hop-forward beers, expertly crafted by acclaimed head brewer Sophie De Ronde.

With a particular focus on drinkability, West Coast mainstays, Gluten Free accessibility (Sophie herself is Coeliac) and more historical styles, they're a welcome tonic in the sometimes saturated juicy market, reminding us of why we got into this craft beer malarkey in the first place.

And, we can think of no better way to toast their successes, than with six different suds through the doors...

Leading the charge we have a quartet of their core range crackers!

Beyond The Firs is the epitome of that just one more kind of beer. A West Coast Pale in nature, this is dry, and uber-drinkable with bright tangerine and zippy grapefruit notes aplenty.

Similarly moreish, their Helles is rounded, yet crisp, with malty tones leading the way, backed up by a light spicy bitterness and a floral accent.

As equally complex, and multi-layered as it is refreshing, Big Sur Moon, their cacao Porter really hits the sweet spot when you want more oomph from your dark beer, but you don't want a massively fudgey, barrel aged double digits tin. Smooth, rich and a real delight heading into the bracing evenings.

Last but not least, Fog is their brand new Hazy Pale, available year-round. Brewed with a generous amount of oats and wheat, giving it a soft and silky mouthfeel, this delivers big on flavour, without becoming cloying or one-note. Think overripe tropical fruits, vibrant citrus, and a hint of light berry, for a true crusher.

As to the newcomers, Crimson Highway is actually somewhat of a throwback, taking you on a road trip to the early days of craft. A ruby coloured, Red IPA with biscuit and toffee character, classic Simcoe and Chinook hops shine through. Melding pithy grapefruit, and dank pine flavours with a crisp finish, and robust bitterness, this ain't just the nostalgia talking, delish!

In the same vein, Point Success is a classic West Coast IPA with an apparent, but not overwhelmingly hoppy bitterness, named after Mount Rainier, in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. Here, Citra, Cascade and Simcoe lend spiky passion fruit and bags of fruity resin goodness in a precise, perfectly balanced number.

As if you should need any more persuading, we have the rather enticing offer of double loyalty points in-store or 10% off 6 or more if you'd like some Burnt Mill bangers delivered straight to your door. That is if we leave any for you, these are staff favourites, and for good reason...
