Brewery Of The Week - 10% Off 6 Or More Added Automatically!

Though you might think it's a fool's errand, or simply impossible to judge the best brewery in a week, let alone a year, we absolutely love the process of knocking our heads together to decide which producer will take the crown.

In a year where the standards in the UK scene have reached dizzying new heights, there are plenty of more than deserving candidates. Stalwarts like Burnt MillTrack and The Kernel have knocked it out of the park, expanding their horizons, in their own ways, and ours in turn. Meanwhile, once rising stars like Two Flints or Floc have ascended into higher pantheons.
However, no brewery has made our hearts, or palates sing more in 2024 than the Leith legends themselves, in Newbarns.
Masters of our favourite style, Lager, it should really come as no surprise, as they've continually delivered exceptional crispy crackers with deceptive complexity, in arguably the hardest technical brew to perfect.
Pushing heritage ingredients, and techniques, while delivering under-represented continental classics alongside a range of new refined IPAs, and moreish dark beers has seen them garner an ever-expanding popularity in our shops.

As we attempt to move on from the oversaturation of beloved juicy, hop custard, Newbarns have been a welcome tonic, continually going against the grain. In producing understated, but excellently diverse beers from Rice Lagers to Dunkels or Belgian Pales, they've forced us (hardly) to challenge our own expectations of 'craft'.

Our collaboration, Heritage '75, only solidified our relationship with these fine folk, and brewing all-stars. And, it certainly doesn't hurt, that they are just really nice, passionate, talented people, with a sustainable business model that bucks a lot of the trends in the current industry.

With incredible customer and staff feedback, along with some accompanying lofty sales, it's clear we all share the same passion for their accessible, yet exceptional beers.

Consequently, we've got a bumper crop to celebrate these legends, with double loyalty points in-store and 10% off 6 or more beers through the Webshop running until (at least) January 3rd. So take in what we have for you, and grab some of their suds pronto, before we drink them all ourselves!

Alongside a restock of their delectable core range Pilsner, there's brand new Organic Pilsner Bios, in collaboration with local Michelin Star restaurants Montrose and Timberyard

Add to that fresh IPA Logan, as well as their hotly-anticipated, inaugural, Dry Jan-approved beers, in Alcohol Free Pale and Table Beer and there's something for everyone.

Finally, we just couldn't resist grabbing a handful of Barrel Aged Complicated Dark Beer, their oozy boozy, Imperial Stout with Omnipollo that's been two years in the making.

Some amazing brews then to see out the year in suitable style! But would you expect anything but the best from Newbarns?
