First plying their trade at cask haven The Southampton Arms before moving to the Cock Tavern, and now their own craft canal-side mecca, the Tank Bar, there’s not much Howling Hops haven't, or can't do. Renowned for their array of ludicrously drinkable juicebombs, a smattering of impeccably balanced Lagers, and zingy fruit Sours, not only are they one of the hottest brewing properties in London town but they're also a sure-fire bet across the style board.

As such, it was an absolute highlight of last year to work alongside them and local legends E5 Bakehouse on an indulgent Barrel Aged spin on our original Imperial Chocolate Rye Cookie Stout, in Queen Cookie. If anyone fancies cellaring a bottle of that, we'd advise you to act fast, we're down to our last few bottles!

And, having not honoured one of our nearest and dearest since that epic beer release, we thought we were long overdue a celebration of these Hackney heroes...

We'll start off by saying there are plenty of different options around the grounds, so do pop into your local or give us an email as stock may vary!

Nonetheless, where better to start with the recommendations then that holiday in a glass, Tropical Deluxe? This zingy Session Pale compromises a dry-hop tropical tango of Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe for a light, bright, pillowy soft wonder.

Another staple, their Howling IPA, is another moreish, fruity treat we can't get enough of - and a frothy forerunner of New England goodness in the capital, now refined to an even more sluggable 5.9%.

On the other end of the boozy spectrum Howling Hops' seasonal Alcohol Free Pale, Tiny Cart, is always worth a mention. A spritzy dose of citrus, pine and grapefruit, this delivers big on flavour at the impossibly slim 0.5%.

As to some luxurious newcomers, first, look no further than Hello Lovelies. A Nitro Oat Cream IPA (yes you read that right), this is a fluffy, silky hop-forward number with a lick of custard danish and flaked almond flavour. A Spring pastry run stunner indeed!

Talking of Nitro, every brewery and their aunt is trying their hand at imitating that Stout, but Old Habits really does hit the mark. Roasty malt and coffee undertones make this an utterly delectable, just one more affair.

If you're after something even more easy going, look no further than sessionable Pale The Pipeline. A floral, spicy, citrussy American-style effort, this finishes with a hit of fresh kiwi and melon. Tropical, but never intensely so!

Lastly, NEIPA showstopper Three Man Band is everything you'd hope from the style, boasting ultra-ripe melon to pithy grapefruit, and dank green herbal notes.

With even more tinnies available across the shops, there's plenty of choice. But, whatever you pick up from the mighty Howling this week, rest assured you'll get 10% off 6 or more beers online with double loyalty points in-store. Has there been a better time to fill your fridge? We think not...
