Producing their first beers in Autumn 2013 Burning Sky began as a brewers dream. Intertwining their love of punchy hop forward pales, and the artful blending of Belgian tradition they helped spearhead a new wave of Craft Beer alongside the likes of Cloudwater and Pressure Drop.

Tucked into the foothills of the beautiful and inspirational South Downs in the stunning small village of Firle, steam wafts from refurbished farm buildings put to full production-mode, set against sheer rural tranquility.

Making beers across all styles and formats, their Cask-focus in an area already rich with heritage saw them gain great acclaim for beers like Plateau, and Aurora.

However that's not to say they've sat still, instead they bring with them a broad output and density of flavour that feels like a welcome contrast, but not a refutation of current trends.

As such we've got another handsome selection this week, and we hope they find the audience they so deserve.

Speaking of revered Burning Sky beers, they probably don't get bigger than Arise. A supremely sessionable Pale that has taken Sussex and the South Coast by storm since its inception, this features a deft charge of Citra, Centennial and Amarillo hops to give big, peach, pine and resinous aromas. It's a true blink and you've drunk it beer.

Providing similar levels of suppability their Luppoleto Pils is a beautiful example of the style. This is fermented and Lagered ultra cold for a crisp, dry finish with aromas of freshly cut grass and citrus fruits.

The last of their core range, Petite, is very much on the same tip with a more overtly traditional angle! A light, spritzy mixed fermentation table beer that's aged in white barrels before a gently dry hop, this is a proper after-work slugger with hidden depth!

Primed for the sunshine Celebrated Summer is one of two new can releases we have for you. Here, there's a welcome firm bitterness from the classic Chinook variety while Citra, Strata and HBC 683 hops run a festival of fruit flavours in the mouth, reminiscent of mango and cantaloupe melon. We're all for more considered juice...

Meanwhile, crushable, light and a little funky, their citrus-flecked Rustic Table Beer is an all day drinker if we ever saw one!

Rounding things off, we're also thrilled to have two Wild Ale sharers in Saison Provision 2023 and Through The Fields.

The former is a 'tavern strength' farmhouse beer first fermented with saison yeast and then with a blend of Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces whilst ageing in oak foudres. The result is a tart, crisp, slightly sour and incredibly refreshing annual treat.

In comparison the latter is a careful blend of foudre and barrel aged mixed fermentation beers. Further aged on local elderberries before re-fermentation in the bottle its dry and almost tannic on the palate, with notes of earthy berries and a light, frothy Burgundy wine.

Whether it's an easy going Pale or a daring farmhouse ale, we've got double loyalty points in-store (4% Account Credit!) or 10% off 6 or more Online. You won't regret it!
