Davenport are true UK trailblazers, first planting vines in Horsmonden in Kent back in 1992. Certified organic in 2000, the original 5 acres under vine has now increased to around 16 comprising 5 parcels of land, 9 grape varieties and a multitude of soil types and micro-climates.
This is the third vintage of Pinot Noir from Davenport's Redmoors vineyard, planted in 2016. Aged in oak for 12 months and then a further 20 months in bottle, this is light in style with the typically perfumed aromas of Pinot, soft balance, complex red berry fruit and great length. Only 260 bottles were made - this is one oak barrel selected from the vintage.
