Named after the 200m wide meteorite crater that lies at the heart of the estate, Domaine du Météore is located high up in the schist soils of the Languedoc mountains. The vines are currently farmed organically with conversion to biodynamics underway and a terroir-driven, minimal-intervention approach is taken to wine making.
The Carignides is 100% old vine Carignan fermented long and slow for 5 weeks then aged in stainless steel for 14 months. Rich, concentrated aromas of blueberry, morello cherry and cocoa. Luxurious, fruity and full on the palate with a gentle mineral finish and silky tannic texture.
