A blend of 85% Bordeaux wines and 15% macerated liqueurs, mostly citrus liqueurs from the peels of sweet oranges from Spain and Morocco and the peels of bitter green oranges from Haiti. The base wines for Lillet Blanc are the classic white Bordeaux varieties Semillon, with a little Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle too. Once blended Lillet is matured in oak vats for between 6 to 12 months before bottling.
