Expertly crafted, and affordable malt from the cult favourites Thompson Brothers in Dornoch, this is a blend of Single Malt whiskies from North Highland, Islay and Speyside all with at least 8 years of age.

SRV5 aka 'Station Road Vat 5' is produced in the Solera method, meaning the tank is never emptied  to less than a third full when Whisky is drawn off for bottling. As illustrated here in it's charred European Oak by Yu Kurahashi of Bar Tre, Hiroshima on the label.

This means this fresh Whisky is ever-evolving though with a core, characterful structure. Expect good body, bright, fresh fruity notes, a mineral waxiness and a balancing backbone of peat. 

Bottled at a hearty 48.5% as you'd expect, it's non-chill filtered, natural in colour, and absolutely delicious.

Nose: Galia melon, lemongrass, apricot, cucumber, waxed lemons, green peppercorns & capers in brine, green apples, lime cordial, grapefruit bitters, green peppers, coastal peat & beach bonfires.

Palate: Greengage, cantaloupe melon, banana smoothie, lemon oil, grapefruit juice, capers, lemongrass, thyme, 1st press olive oil, candlewax and gentle smoke.

Finish: Lemon balm, thyme, camphor, earthy peat & gentle smoke. Long with a coating of waxiness.
